About Brian Stephenson Tribal Art
This website presents a collection of important museum quality antique tribal art, originating from the various
islands of the Indonesian Archipelago, a collection of Asian Ethnographic Art and also
pre-columbian and South American artifacts collected in Columbia, Peru and Bolivia.
My passion for the Tribal Art of Indonesia began in 1978
while working as a geologist in Northern Sumatra. Over the next decade I travelled and collected
extensively throughout Sumatra and was lucky to be able to visit and collect on many of other the
Indonesian Islands. In 1974 I travelled through South America, so I also include a few items of
Ethnographic Art collected during this period.
Consignments: I am proud to host on this website the
property of a private collector of Dayak Art currently resident in Indonesia.
